LONDON (AFP) - Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has revealed Northern Ireland striker David Healy is set to have a medical at Sunderland on Thursday ahead of his proposed move to the Stadium of Light.

Hodgson has agreed to sell Healy to Roy Keane's side after the former Manchester United trainee failed to make an impact at Craven Cottage last season following his 1.5 million pounds (1.8 million euros) move from Leeds.

"If David has been spotted at Sunderland he didn't wear that disguise I told him to!" Hodgson said.

"It's no secret that Sunderland admire David and have talked about a transfer. He's up there for a medical.

"We'll see what happens now but it's certainly a possibility the transfer could go through."

Keane's Irish, Healy's Irish... maybe this could be a good move. I think the guy scored a lot in qualifiers but obviously he was not making his mark at Fulham. Also, I think Fulham had the former Northern Ireland Coach, Lawrie Sanchez? But he didn't work out either. Sanchez should not have left coaching a country for club I thought at the time.
