HULL, England (AFP) - Premier League newboys Hull signed Wigan striker Marlon King on a season-long loan on Thursday.

King, 28, had been discussing a move to the KC Stadium for several weeks and the move was finally completed after the Jamaica international passed a medical.

The former Watford forward is manager Phil Brown's eighth signing since the end of last season and could make his debut in Saturday's Premier League opener against Fulham.

Hull City will be fighting relegation like Birmingham did last year: but they won't be in the cellar like Watford or Darby did.
