Alexander Manninger signs for Juventus

New Juventus goalkeeper Alexander Manninger

Juventus have signed Austrian goalkeeper Alexander Manninger on a four year contract.

The thirty one year old Manninger made the move from Serie A team Siena.

He has also spent time at Arsenal, Fiorentina, Torino and Bologna.

Manniger will slot into third place in the pecking order of goalkeepers behind Gianluigi Buffon and Antonio Chimenti.

He is set to join his team mates for their friendly against Manchester United

He won his first international cap in 1999 against Sweden.

I don't know if he was at the Euro, but Austria can't complain about their goalkeeping there.
