Jancker commits to Mattersburg

Former Germany forward Carsten Jancker has signed a new two-year contract to extend his career with Austrian Bundesliga side SV Mattersburg. Jancker, who would otherwise have become a free agent in the summer, ended the uncertainty surrounding his future by agreeing a deal until 2010.
The 33-year-old scored 12 goals in 33 games for Mattersburg who finished the season in fifth position. The ex-FC Bayern München man joined the club in 2006.
