Quick Report: Birmingham City 2-2 Liverpool FC

Jonathan Roorda - 26 April 2008 18:12

Mikael Forsell of Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Apr 26 (SW) - Birmingham City held Liverpool to a draw but continue to occupy the 18th spot in the Premiership.

Mikael Forsell opened the score for Birmingham in the 34th minute and Larsson even doubled the lead ten minutes into the second half.

But Liverpool, who seemed more focused on their Champions League encounter with Chelsea later this week than on today's game, did manage to come back through Peter Crouch in the 63rd minute and Yossi Benayoun in the 76th.

With two games to go, Birmingham still risk relegation as they need to hope for Reading to drop more points in the coming matches.
