Revivo looks to start Ashdod revival

Alon Hazan has resigned as coach of Israeli strugglers FC Ashdod, with co-owner Haim Revivo taking over as his replacement, despite having no coaching qualifications.

Assistant Micha Sharvit will be officially in charge of the team who are second from bottom of the 12-team Ligat Ha'Al. Former RC Celta de Vigo and Fenerbahçe SK forward Revivo started and ended his playing career at the club.
