Fenerbahce´s Carlos set to miss rest of season

ISTANBUL (AFP) - Fenerbahce's Brazil defender Roberto Carlos is set to miss the rest of the season as he continues his recovery from an injury suffered in February.

The former Real Madrid star picked up a knock to his shin in his Turkish side's Champions League game against Sevilla, and is now receiving treatment in Brazil.

A statement on Fenerbahce's website on Thursday reported: "The treatment for his injury will continue for the rest of the season."

According to press reports here Carlos, who is being treated by medical staff at another of his former clubs, Palmeiras, will not regain full fitness for at least three months.
