VALENCIA, Apr 16 (SW) - In an interview with Dutch newspaper Telegraaf, Valencia boss Ronald Koeman claimed to know nothing about a possible sacking by his team after Wednesday's Copa del Rey final.

Speculation about Koeman's imminent departure has been growing in Spanish media over the past week, but the former Ajax and PSV manager remains calm:

"Since we're positioned low in the Primera Division, it's been really hectic. But I don't know whether the club will listen to the fans. Directly, they never told me that I'm going to get fired," said Koeman.

"But it is possible. If you hear the story once, you can consider it rubbish. But now it's repetitive. Usually, the press here are well informed."

To conclude, Koeman also feels that he isn't the only one to blame: "In my current situation I can't say too much, but the image of the future that I was given when I started here, is quite different now. Financially a lot less is possible. If I knew this in advance, I never would have joined Valencia.
