Monaco FC have named Jérôme de Bontin as their new president following the resignation of Michel Pastor and his vice-president Gérard Brianti.

De Bontin, who has been appointed on a temporary basis, worked in finance in the United States before becoming a board member at Monaco in 2002. The change has been sparked by the club's poor performances this season. Despite ending a winless run of ten games at RC Strasbourg last weekend, Ricardo's team remain a lowly 14th in Ligue 1.
