Buffon extends Juventus contract

ROME (AFP) - Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has extended his contract with Juventus by a year till 2012, the Italian second division club said on Thursday.
The 29-year-old Buffon's new deal ends months of uncertainty over the future of a player many believe is the best keeper in the world.
Buffon had decided to stay with the Turin club after they were relegated to the second division because of their role in last summer's match-fixing scandal, but had never ruled out leaving at the end of this season.
Juventus recently won promotion back into to Italy's Serie A after winning the Serie B championship.
