MADRID, Jan 5 (SW) – Primera Liga side Real Sociedad have announced that they are to sign Brazilian forward Savio on loan until the end of the 2006/7 season.

Savio, who turns thirty three on the 9th of January, will join Real Sociedad from Brazilian club Flamengo.

Often referred to as “Blond Angel” the Brazilian has also played for Real Madrid, Bordeaux and Zaragoza.

Sociedad currently lie nineteenth in the twenty team Primera Liga after winning just one of their sixteen matches this season.

Savio is the second player to join the Basque side in the January transfer window. He now follows Argentinean defender Victor Lopez from Arsenal de Sarandi.
