MADRID (AFP) - Spain coach Luis Aragones has won his appeal against remarks about France striker Thierry Henry which were condemned as racist, the Spanish football federation (RFEF) confirmed.

A judge overturned a ruling made against Aragones by the Spanish Sports Disciplinary Committee (CEDD) in October 2005.

The CEDD had modified a RFEF decision which fined Aragones 3,000 euro (3,900 dollars) for making reference to Henry´s colour during a training session in October 2004 to the French striker´s Arsenal teammate Jose Antonio Reyes.

The ruling was judged to be illegal by the judge.

Spain play England in a friendly at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
