Argentine teen Di Santo set for Chelsea move

SANTIAGO (AFP) - Argentina under-20 striker Franco di Santo, who plays for Chilean club Audax, is set to join English Premier League side Chelsea, club president Valentin Cantergiani confirmed Wednesday.

The 18-year-old, who arrived in Chile four years ago, is close to signing a five-year deal worth seven million dollars.

"It's nearly agreed, some details have to be sorted out but it shouldn't be a problem," said Cantergiani.

The towering Di Santo, who measures 1.93m, has never played professionally in his own country.

According to media reports di Santo will leave for England to join up with his new club on January 3.
