NEW DELHI (AFP) - Favourites Syria crushed Cambodia 5-1 on Saturday to end the round-robin league with an all-win record in the five-nation Nehru Cup football tournament.

The Syrians, already assured of a place in Wednesday's final, toyed with the hapless Cambodians, who lost three of their four games and drew one.

Syria led 2-0 at half-time through goals by Mohammed Alzeno and Zyad Chaabo, before Maher Al-Sayed scored twice in the second-half and Aatef Jenyat also chipped in with one goal.

Teab Vathanak pulled in a consolation goal for Cambodia in the 66th minute.

Syria await either Kyrgyzstan or hosts India in the final.

Kyrgyzstan must defeat India in their last round-robin match on Sunday to qualify.

India, who are level with Kyrgyzstan on six points from three matches, enjoy a better goal difference and will need only a draw to move into the final.

Bangladesh were the fifth team in the tournament.
