SAINT-ETIENNE, France (AFP) - Swedish international striker Lasse Nilsson on Wednesday signed a four-year deal with French first division side Saint-Etienne.
Nilsson, 25, has spent the past two years at Dutch club Heerenveen, scoring ten goals last season.
"Several clubs were interested in me but the challenge proposed by Saint-Etienne seemed the best choice for me," said Nilsson, who was also targeted by French clubs Rennes, Lorient and Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish outfit Real Betis.
The deal is reported to be worth three million euros (4.1 million dollars).
