Guus Hiddink during his period as coach of South Korea

Guus Hiddink will most likely leave PSV at the end of this season. PSV chairman Rob Westerhof confirmed this during a weekly TV show in the Netherlands today.

The succesful coach is wanted by both the Russian and the English F.A. Rumours also mentioned Manchester United as possible next team for "world civilian" Hiddink.

Hiddink will announce his decision in the coming days and clarify his future plans. Earlier this week, PSV board member Jan Timmer increased pressure on Hiddink to announce his future plans quickly, so PSV can adept in time for next season.

Hiddink's decision of to coach the Australian national team during the upcoming World Cup, caused friction in the management board of PSV earlier this year. According to the board, Hiddink should have a 100% focus on his job as main coach and technical director of PSV. However, Hiddink's success (two championship title's and a semi-final spot in Champions League) made him very popular in all areas of the club.

Martin Jol (Tottenham Hotspur), Bert van Marwijk (Borussia Dortmund) and Henk ten Cate (FC Barcelona) have been linked to the club already. The assistant coaches Fred Rutten and Rene Eijkelkamp are also named, but are more likely to become the main coaching duo of FC Twente.
