BOGOTA, Dec 15 (SW) – Colombia has confirmed the appointment of former Cost Rica coach Jorge Luis Pinto as the new national boss.

"My challenge is to make it into the (2010) World Cup," said Pinto.

The new manager is currently in charge of Colombian club side Cucuta, but will leave that position to take up his new job.

The new coach has also vowed to work with the emerging talent in the South American nation to deliver glory to the nation.

"There is enough to work with and I trust in it completely. It is a generation that should be a bit newer and different, but we have the necessary to achieve our main goal."
