Raul dropped

MADRID, Sept 29 (SW) – In a surprising move, Real Madrid’s captain as well as captain of the Spanish national team, Raul has been left out of Spain’s squad for their Group F UEFA EURO 2008 qualifier away against Sweden on the 7th of October.
This is the first time that he has been dropped from the Spanish national side, other than for injury reasons.
As this stage no reasons for his surprise omission have been forthcoming.
