NEWCASTLE, Sep 28 (SW) - Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Blackburn Rovers kept the English hope alive in the UEFA Cup on Thursday as they all moved onto the group stage with victories.

Newcastle moved comfortably on to the group stage after a fine performance from new striker Obafemi Martins.
The Nigeria added to the Magpies' first-leg advantage just after the start of the second half, and then added a goal in the 50th minute to make it 3-0 on aggregate before Indrek Zelinski pulled one back for the Estonians.

Spurs needed just a draw to move on after winning in Prague two weeks ago, but an 80th-minute goal from Robbie Keane ensure a more comfortable success for the north Londoners, who now go into Tuesday's draw.

In-form South African striker Benni McCarthy put Mark Hughes' side in front at Ewood Park to give them an added edge from their draw in Austria, and David Bentley made it 2-0 in the 56th minute to complete the triumph.
