RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept 8 (SW) – Once again the behaviour of football fans reared its ugly head when it was reported that one fan was killed and three others injured when fans from two opposing Brazilian Serie A were involved in a fight in the city.

The fight broke out when fans from Botafogo went to a Fluminense club house shortly before the match at the world - famous Maracana Stadium was due to have begun. Shots had been fired during the fight.

The injured were then taken to the local hospital.

The match ended 1 – 1.
