"Van Gaal in the picture for Bayern"

ALKMAAR, Oct 9 (Sw) - Louis van Gaal has been mentioned as an option for German giants Bayern Munchen to replace Felix Magath in the future. The Dutch coach currently leads UEFA cup team AZ.
According to the Dutch television programme Studio Sport, Van Gaal is one of a number of coaches on the Bayern shortlist.
The former Barcelona coach himself admitted after the broadcast he would like to coach the club, which he described as "fitting" to his coaching style. However, he also said he wants to serve out his contract at Alkmaar until 2008.
Current coach Magath's contract ends at the Rekordmeister at the end of this season.
