MADRID, Oct 3 (SW) - Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon wants David Beckham to stay with Madrid.
Despite not making the starting line up for Real madrid's last four games and being dropped from the England squad by Steve McLaren it seems that Beckham is still wanted at Real Madrid.
"He is one of the most charitable and lovely people I've met. I'd love him to stay because he's a great player," Calderon told the club's website.
He continued, "he has been a starter in some games and now he is enjoying some minutes but he cannot play in every game, he is a genius on and off the pitch and he is a wonderful person in every sense."
The 31 year old is currently in contract talks with the Spanish side, but if nothing is agreed then his current deal would expire next year.
