Leeds United name Wise as manager

LEEDS, Oct 24 (SW) – Swindon Town’s manager Dennis Wise is set to join Leeds United.

He will be joined by his assistant the Uruguayan Gus Poyet.

An agreement had been reached late yesterday between the League Two and Championship League teams.

Wise, an England international spent most of his playing days as a Chelsea midfielder before joining Millwall and Tottenham Hotspur.

Wise took over at Swindon Town after they had been relegated from League One.
