MADRID, Oct 23 (SW) - Real Madrid plan to sponsor a Formula 1 team during two races in the 2007 season. This was announced by club president Ramon Calderon.
One of these races would be the Grand Prix of Spain, near Barcelona, while the name of the other race has not been revealed uptil now.
It is not unlikely that Real Madrid opt to sponsor McLaren, which will be the new team of current World Champion Fernando Alonso.
"This is a good project. We'll definitely sponsor Fernando at the circuit of Mormelo in Spain. It would be a great sight to see car with Real Madrid logo, racing through Barcelona," said Calderon.
