Sevilla draw at Liberec, comfortable win for AZ

LIBEREC/ALKMAAR, Oct 19 (SW) - Defending UEFA Cup champions Sevilla failed to scored at Liberec in the Czech Republic while AZ Alkmaar comfortably beat Braga to take the lead in Group C.

Sevilla, winners of this tournament in 2006, travelled to the Czech Republic to face Liberec but the Spaniards were held to a scoreless draw.
<b>AZ Alkmaar - Braga</b> 3-0
More action was seen in Alkmaar, where 2005 semi finalists AZ hosted Braga from Portugal. Georgian striker Shota Arveladze opened the score in the 36th minute and Danny Koevemans really decided the match from a difficult angle in the 74th.
Stijn Schaars added a third, five minutes later, to give AZ a comfortable victory.
