LA LOUVIERE, Oct 18 (SW) - Four former La Louviere players have been handed severe punishments after deliberately losing a match against Lierse SK in the 2004-05 season.

Wagneau Eloi, Mario Espartero, Gunther van Handenhoven and Laurent Montoya were responsible for helping their opponents to a 7-0 win.

At the time, the four had a disagreement with the chairman at that time, Filippo Gaone, after never receiving a cup victory bonus from 2003.

The Belgian FA banned Van Handenhoven for no less than six months while the others will be sidelined for the coming three months.
