Belmadi out for Months

SOUTHAMPTON, Oct 17 (SW) - Algerian winger Djamel Belmadi has suffered a knee injury which may keep him out for three months.

Belmadi had scans on his knee this week and the results have shown that the 30 year old will now need surgery.

"We have been told he has cartilage and bone damage and needs an operation which is a major blow, said Southampton manager George Burley.
