Guinea sack coach

CONAKRY, Oct 15 (SW) – It was announced in the capital city that French coach Patrice Neveu has been sacked as coach of the Guinea national team.

Poor performances in the opening qualifying rounds of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations where Guinea have managed just a draw at home with Algeria and a loss against Cape Verde (0 – 1) appeared to hasten the decision.

A new coach is expected to be announced within the next few weeks.
