REYKJAVIK, Oct 11 (SW) - Sweden and Denmark both won their away matches in Group F on Wednesday, while Northern Ireland got a small win over Latvia.

Iceland - Sweden 1-2

A surprisingly strong Iceland only needed six minutes to take the lead through Arnar Vidarsson, but a distance strike from Kim Kallstrom levelled the score just two minutes later.

The three points would eventually go to the Swedish, as Christian Wilhelmsson scored for 1-2 just before the hour mark.

Liechtenstein - Denmark 0-4

The Danes did as expected in Liechtenstein, beating their hosts 0-4. Daniel Jensen and Michael Gravgaard scored in the first half and striker Jon Dahl Tomasson added another two after the break.

Northern Ireland - Latvia 1-0

A goal from David Healy in the 35th minute was enough for the Northern Irish to earn three points against Latvia. Although Latvia (4th) and Spain (5th) have a game in hand, Northern Ireland's third position in this group is save for at least one more match.
