TOKYO, Nov 3 (SW) – JEF United Chiba retained the J-League Cup here today when they defeated Kashima Antlers 2 – 0.
Two goals late in the second half from Koki Mizuno and Yuki Abe was enough to give the title to the defending champions.
Amar Osim is United’s manager. He took over from his father when he was made Japan’s national coach.
United became the first side to win back-to-back J-League Cups since Tokyo Verdy in the early 1990s following last year's victory - the club's first major title.
