LONDON, Nov 24 (SW) – Charlton are making a concerted effort to sign cost Rica’s international winger Cristian Bolanos in an effort to avoid the drop at the end of the season.

The Costa Rican represented his country at this year’s World Cup in Germany.

He had previously had a trial at the Belgian side Germinal Beerschot where he impressed.

Previous attempts to sign him have been thwarted by him being unable to secure a work permit.

However new manager Les Reed is hopeful that an arrangement can be made.
