BASEL/ROTTERDAM, Nov 23 (Sw) – Blackburn Rovers qualify for the next round of the UEFA cup by drawing in Rotterdam, while Basel kept their slim hopes alive by drawing against Nancy.

Three goals in a space of two minutes added spice in this encounter. Scott Chipperfield pegged back immediately after Carlos Kim put Nancy up front on 32 minutes, only to see Berenguer putting Nancy up front again a minute later.

Mile Sterjovski saved a home point for Basel with his 2-2 in the 56th minute.


Feyenoord – Blackburn Rovers 0-0

Blackburn Rovers managed to keep Feyenoord at bay in Rotterdam, seeing them through to the next round.

Feyenoord dominated against a defensive Blackburn and saw a penalty claim turned down when Brett Emerton took down Stein Huysegem in the 35th minute. Another penalty was denied when the ball struck the arm of Blackburn defender Andre Ooijer on 66 minutes. Missed attempts on both sides kept the game a goalless draw.
