MADRID, Nov 8 (Sw) - Fernando Gago and Dejan Stankovic are both nominated as possible reinforcements for Real Madrid's midfield, reports say.

The first negotiations are said to have taken place with Gago. The highly touted Boca Juniors midfielder is targeted by a host of big clubs, but Real are the first to show concrete interest.

However, the €25 million pricetag is an obstacle, with Real only bidding €14 million so far.

Inter's Dejan Stankovic is also a possible January signing. The Serbian captain could add the attacking zest to the Madrid midfield.
