Friendlies: Portugal do as expected against Cape Verde

EVORA, May 27 (SW) - Portugal hosted Cape Verde for a relatively easy start of their World Cup preparation, and achieved a 4-1 win.
Paris Saint-Germain striker Pedro Pauleta, who earlier this week announced to stay at the French team, was particularly impressive with three goals. The other Portuguese goal came from Petit.
More surprising was Cape Verde's equalizer for 1-1 in the 21st minute, when Fernando Meira hit the wrong net.
Portugal, finalists at Euro 2004, face Angola, Iran and Mexico at the upcoming World Cup.
