France win Toulon Youth Festival
TOULON, May 24 (SW) - France have successfully defended their title at the Toulon Youth Festival, beating the Netherlands 5-3 on penalties in the final.
The festival is an annual event for U-20 players, and hosts France had the chance to win for the third time in a row after finishing first in a group with the Netherlands, Colombia and Mexico, and beating China in the semi finals.
In the final, no goal were scored so a penalty shoot-out was needed to decide the match. France remained calmer, and won 5-3.
