BRUGES, Mar 26 (SW) - Anderlecht extended their lead at the top of the Jupiler League to three points over Standard Liège with a win at Club Brugge on Sunday.
Charleroi - Standard Liège 0-0
Standard temporarily went level with Anderlecht in their match on Friday when they were forced to settle for a goalless draw away to Charleroi.
Sint-Truiden - Zulte-Waregem 2-0
Zulte-Waregem continued their recent slip in form with a defeat away to Sint-Truiden on Saturday.
Desire M'Bonabucva opened the scoring in the 15th minute and Rocky Peeters' goal four minutes into the second half secured the victory for Sint-Truiden. The points lifted Sint-Truiden a bit further away from the relegation zone in 14th place.
Lokeren - Westerlo 3-2
A hat-trick by Aristide Bance guided Lokeren to a victory over Westerlo, the first goal coming in the 11th minute to opene the scoring. Christiaan Janssens, however, equalized for Westerlo just nine minutes later.
Bance regained the lead for Lokeren just after the half-hour, and completed his treble on the stroke of half-time to make it 3-1. A late goal by Bernt Evens was a bit of consolation for the visitors.
FC Brussels - Germinal 0-1
Ten-man Germinal got a late goal from Marc Hendrickx to grab a dramatic win away to FC Brussels on Saturday.
Despite having Pieter-Jan Monteyne sent off all the way back in the 16th minute, Germinal stayed strong and Hendrickx struck in second-half added time for the win.
Beveren - Gent 0-1
Gent jumped to fifth place in the league after they recorded a narrow win away to bottom side Beveren.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 54th minute by Christophe Gregoire, enough to secure the victory for Gent.
Lierse - La Louvière 0-0
Two teams mired in relegation talk produced a very drab affair on Saturday as Lierse and La Louvière played out a goalless draw.
Lierse sit third from bottom on 26 points, with La Louvière a point back in 17th place. Beveren sit at the bottom on 24 points.
Club Brugge - Anderlecht 0-2
Club Brugge slipped to seven points back of Anderlecht in third place after suffering a tough home loss in the weekend's highlight fixture on Sunday.
Red-hot Nicolás Frutos gave Anderlecht the lead after just eight minutes had been played at the Jan Breydel Stadium, and the Argentine striker doubled the lead with four minutes to play to secure the victory.
Excelsion Mouscron - Racing Genk 1-0
Racing Genk's hopes of grabbing a European spot took a hit on Sunday when they suffered a defeat away to Excelsior Mouscron.
Jean-Felix Dorothee scored the match winner in the 25th minute to keep Mouscron in a safe spot in the table.
Roeselare - Cercle Brugge 1-0
Cercle Brugge are right in the hunt for relegation to the Tweede Klasse after falling away to Roeselare.
An early goal by Jamique Vandamme in the seventh minute was all home side needed for the win.
