LYON, Mar 25 (SW) - Ahead of their Champions League clash with AC Milan, four-time French champions Lyon had to come from a goal down to draw with Toulouse on Saturday in Ligue 1.
Lyon - Toulouse 1-1
Toulouse's leading scorer, Daniel Moreira, fired the visitors into the shock lead at the Stade Gerland two minutes before the half-time interval.
Lyon, though, were not too dazed and they came out firing the second half. That aggression paid off as John Carew got the equalizing goal on 49 minutes.
The stalemate leaves Lyon 12 points clear of second-placed Bordeaux, who play on Sunday. After tomorrow, both sides will have seven matches left to play.
Strasbourg - Lille 2-2
Lille, fighting for the coveted second place spot in France, were denied a victory away to Strasbourg thanks to a late goal by Amara Diané.
Kader Keita fired the visitors into the lead on nine minutes, but Swedish international Pontus Farnerud equalized for point-hungry Strasbourg on the half-hour mark.
Keita's second of the match in the 79th minute looked to have given Lille the full points, but Diané snatched an equalizer at the last gasp to give Strasbourg hope of crawling out of the bottom three.
Marseille - Le Mans 1-1
Marseille and Le Mans are both still in the hunt for UEFA Cup berths after the two sides drew at the Stade Vélodrome.
Toifilou Maoulida put the home side in front on 22 minutes, but James Fanchone's goal in the 34th minute secured a share of the spoils for Le Mans.
Rennes - Troyes 2-0
Rennes remain in fifth place after they disposed of Troyes on Saturday.
John Utaka gave the home side a 24th-minute lead and John Mensah's goal in the 52nd minute put Rennes at the 50-point mark for the season, keeping them in line for a spot in European football after a shaky start to the season.
Lens - Sochaux 2-1
Two first-half goals lifted Lens to a nice victory to keep them in sixth place in Ligue 1.
Seydou Keita opened the scoring in the 21st minute and Pierre-Alain Frau doubled the advantage in the 35th minute for Lens before Sochaux got a goal back through Araujo Ilan in the 71st minute.
Auxerre - Saint-Etienne 0-0
Fourth-placed Auxerre were dealt a setback as they were forced to settle for a goalless draw against Saint-Etienne.
Auxerre are six points back of idle Bordeaux for second place and remain two adrift of Lille in third place.
Ajaccio - Metz 0-1
Metz got a huge victory as they look to avoid relegation, jumping off of the bottom of the table with a win over new bottom side Ajaccio.
The only goal of the match, scored in the 71st minute by Abdelnasser Ouadah, was enough to get Metz within three points of 17th-placed Troyes in the safety zone.
Nancy - Nantes 0-0
Nancy and Nantes are both safe from relegation, and they played as if they had nothing to lose in a goalless draw on Saturday.
