LIÈGE, Mar 19 (SW) - Standard Liège remain a single point adrift of Anderlecht at the top of the Jupiler League after both sides recorded victories in weekend action.
Standard Liège - Racing Genk 1-0
At the time, Standard went two points clear at the top of the league after a solitary first-half gave them a victory over Genk.
Romanian international Marius Niculae put the home side in front just before the half-hour mark and Standard held on to claim the victory.
Zulte-Waregem - Lierse 0-1
Zulte-Waregem are still fourth in the league despite being beaten at home by lowly Lierse, who are still in danger of relegation despite the win.
The lone goal of the match was scored after only three minutes were played when Kristof Imschoot found the back of the Zulte-Waregem net.
Anderlecht - Beveren 4-0
Anderlecht regained their one-point league lead on Saturday as they cruised to an easy win over Beveren thanks to goals from four different players.
Pär Zetterberg's penalty put Anderlecht in front on 23 minutes and Christian Wilhelmsson doubled the lead just three minutes later.
Nicolás Frutos added a third with 15 minutes to play and Turkish international Serhat Akin made it four to the home side at the end.
Westerlo - Club Brugge 0-0

Mario Cvitanovic's goal in the 25th minute secured victory for the home side.

La Louivère - Roeselare 0-0
La Louvière sit bottom of the league standings after being held to a goalless home draw by Roeselare.
The club mired in the Belgian match-fixing scandal in danger of being relegated although the bottom six teams are all within four points of each other.

The weekend action in Belgium closed on Sunday as Gent stayed in line for a berth in European competition with victory over Sint-Truiden.
