BRUSSELS, Mar 5 (SW) - Anderlecht are two points clear of Standard Liège at the top of the Juplier League table after both were victorious over the weekend. Meanwhile, Club Brugge's hopes took a bit of a hit after being trounced by Lokeren.
Charleroi - Beveren 4-0
Brazilian striker Orlando fired Charleroi into the lead just four minutes in and their dominance continued in the 37th as Izzet Akgul doubled the lead at 2-0.
After Frank Defays made it 3-0 with 10 minutes to play, Jonathan Augustin was sent off for Beveren, leading to a penalty which was converted by Toni Brogno.
Lokeren - Club Brugge 2-0
Club Brugge fell five points back of Anderlecht and three adrift of Standard after falling to Lokeren.
Aboubacar Camara fired the home side into the lead after just seven minutes and their defense held firm for the rest of the game. They then got an insurance goal from Aristide Bancé near the end.
Zulte-Waregem - FC Brussels 0-0
Zulte-Waregem could have moved back within striking distance of the top teams with win, but were held to a goalless draw by FC Brussels.
Zulte are three points back of Club Brugge in fourth place with the result.
Cercle Brugge - Racing Genk 1-1
An own goal by Jan Masureel just after the half-hour mark nearly doomed the home side, but Dieter Deklever scored an equalizer just before the end to secure a point.
Westerlo - Sint-Truiden 2-1
Rocky Peeters put Sint-Truiden in the lead after just 17 minutes, and their victory looked certain after Jeffrey Pulé was sent off for the home side in the 84th minute.
However, Joe Keenan leveled the match shortly after the red card, and Jef Delen struck a dramatic winner with two minutes to play.
Gent - Roeselare 1-2
Björn Smits put the visitors in front in the 13th minute, but had his goal quickly canceled out by Moubarak Boussoufa shortly after that.
The match was decided with just three minutes to play as Steve Barbe hit the winner for Roeselare.
La Louvière - Excelsior Mouscron 0-0
Both sides are fighting relegation, and the result did little to help either side escape the danger.
La Louvière are third from bottom with 22 points while Mouscron are just three points better in the standings.
Anderlecht - Lierse 3-0
Both sides were reduced to ten men in the 41st minute after Anderlecht's Christian Wilhelmsson and Lierse's Hasan Kacic, but Bart Goor put the home side in front in the 62nd minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Nicolás Frutos added a second for Anderlecht in the 81st minute before Pär Zetterberg converted a penalty four minutes later to seal the match.
Standard Liège - Germinal 3-1
Sérgio Conceição put the home side in front just five minutes in and Mohammed Tchite doubled the advantage 10 minutes later to extend the lead to 2-0.
Mohammed Messoudi pulled a goal back for Germinal on 55 minutes, but Lovre Vulin regained the two-goal margin for Standard with a quarter-hour to play.
