Thuram out injured for six weeks

BARCELONA, Dec 24 (SW) – The thirty five year old French and Barcelona defender Lilian Thuram will be out of action for approximately six weeks and could only be back at the beginning of February.

The former FIFA World Cup gold medallist tore a muscle in his left leg when Atletico Madrid’s Sergio Aguero scored the equaliser in Thursday’s Primer Division clash at the Nou Camp.

The match ended 1 – 1.
