Lyon desperate to sign Trezeguet

LYON, Dec 24 (SW) – Juventus and French striker David Trezeguet, centre of much transfer speculation since the infamous match – fixing scandal, may yet move.

Despite having had their initial bid for the Frenchman turned down by Juventus, Lyon are still keen to land ‘their man’.

Lyon, way clear at the top of Ligue 1 have injury problems when it comes to their strike power.

Missing strikers are Karim Benzema, Fred and John Carew.

Lyon’s Sporting Director Bernard Lacombe told France 3 that he hoped that through further negotiations the Turin club will change their minds.
