EINDHOVEN, Dec 23 (SW) - PSV Eindhoven maintained their firm grip on top spot in the Eredivisie on Saturday with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Willem II.

Ibrahim Afellay fired Ronald Koeman's side in front after just four minutes in to immediately put Willem II on notice, and the visitors were quickly outclassed as Arouna Koné doubled the lead 12 minutes later.

By the 22nd minute, PSV had extended their lead to 3-0 via a Timmy Simons goal, and Willem II's misery was complete in the 71st minute as Diego Tardelli bagged the fourth for the home side.

With AZ idle until their match on Sunday, PSV moved 10 points clear at the top of the table with Willem II third from bottom with just four wins in 18 games.
