RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec 15 (SW) – Former Brazilian international Juninho Paulista has signed with Brazilian club Flamengo.

The player joins from Palmeiras, in what will be a second spell at the club following a successful loan period in 2002.

"To play important tournaments, and even more the Copa Libertadores, is always very special," explained the 33-year-old.

"I hope to play more time at Flamengo. I'm very happy for being back here.

"I've loved living in Rio de Janeiro and I'm very happy to return."
