GLASGOW, Dec 8 (SW) – Scottish giants Celtic are being linked with a January move for prolific Ukrainian forward Andrei Voronin.
The Bayer Leverkusen star has consistently found the back of the net for the German side, but has been unable to negotiate a new deal, with his current contact expiring at the end of the season.
Rumours suggest that if no new deal is agreed within the next few weeks, then Leverkusen could decide to cash in on the player during the winter transfer window and claim whatever fee they can before losing the player on a Bosman in June.
Celtic chiefs are prepared to back manager Gordon Strachan in the transfer market after the club reached the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
