Egyptian defender dies on pitch
CAIRO, Aug 31 (SW) - Egyptian international Mohamed Abdelwahab collapsed and died during a training session with his club Al Ahly on Thursday.
The session had been underway for 35 minutes when Abdelwahab collapsed unexpectedly. By the time he arrived to a nearby hospital, he had already passed away.
Uptil now, the cause of the 22-year-old's death remains unknown.
Earlier this year, Abdelwahab won the African Cup of Nations with Egypt in his home country.
