Vieri rejoins Atalanta

BERGAMO, Aug 30 (SW) – Christian Vieri's playing days aren't over yet, with the powerful striker agreeing a deal with former club Atalanta.
It is a return to the club for Vieri after a decade away from the Bergamo outfit, with the Italian international agreeing terms on a one-year deal to receive the minimum €1,500 per month. However, Vieri will receive bonuses based on the amount of appearances and goals he contributes towards the side.
Atalanta Sporting Director Giancarlo Osti has revealed that the player is hopeful of doing well in his return to the club.
"The player has big motivations and Bergamo's environment is ideal for him," said Osti.
Vieri had terminated an agreement with Sampdoria earlier in the summer.
