SHENTANG, August 10 (SW) - Ousmane Bangoura will receive compensation from his Chinese Super league club Shenyang Ginde after he lost the sight in his right eye.
The Guinea international had his right eyeball damaged by the studs of Qingdao Zhongneng player, Lu Gang during a league match on 7 July and despite two operations lost the vision in that eye.
Lu Gang immediatly expressed his regret over the incident saying, "I dare not ask him to forgive me because I cannot forgive myself in the first place, but I want to do something to redeem my mistake."
He concluded, "I would like to say sorry to him a million times."
Shenyang Ginde have now agreed to give the 26 year old €127,000 in compensation and a further €78,000 will be donated to the player from all the teams in the Chinese league.
"Everybody here treated me well, I'll never forget, I'm satisfied with everything," said Bangoura.
