MUNICH, Aug 26 (SW) - Bayern Munich have been held to a scoreless draw by Nurnberg, who take the top position in the German Bundesliga after three matchdays.
The best chance of the match was for Dutch striker Roy Makaay in the second half. The forward did get past Nurnberg's goalkeeper, but then failed to score from close range.
Both teams went into this match with six points from two games, and now share the lead in the Bundesliga with Schalke 04.
Of these three teams, Nurnberg have the best goal record, followed by Bayern and Schalke.
