BUENOS AIRES, Aug 23 (SW) - Ricardo La Volpe will be succeeding Alfio Basile as Boca Juniors manager in his home country, Argentina.
La Volpe, known for his smoking habits during matches, recently coached Mexico at the World Cup in Germany, where the team reached the round of sixteen to be knocked out by Argentina.
The 54-year-old succeeds Alfio Basile, who currently coached the Argentinian national team.
Earlier, La Volpe rejected Boca Juniors' offer due to a 'lack of knowledge of Argentinian football'.
