Scotland: Celtic lose to Hearts, Rangers beat Kilmarnock

EDINBURGH, Apr 30 (SW) - Celtic suffered a 3-0 defeat by second-placed Heart of Midlothian on Sunday. A day earlier, Rangers defeated Kilmarnock while Aberdeen were far too strong for Hibernian.

Championship group

Hearts - Celtic 3-0 (Sunday)

Champions Celtic crashed to a 3-0 defeat at second-placed Hearts. An own goal from Stephen McManus gave Hearts the lead in the seventh minute, and Paul Hartley gave home fans another reason to celebrate, just two minutes later. Roman Bednar was responsible for Hearts' third goal in the 63rd minute.

Kilmarnock - Rangers 1-3

Rangers conceded a goal from Kilmarnock's Colin Nish in the 27th minute but turned things around through Marvin Andrews in the 50th and Kris Boyd in the 63rd. The 'Gers netted another, again through Andrews in the 78th minute.

Aberdeen - Hibernian 4-0

Aberdeen had a surprisingly easy win over Hibernian, with Stevie Crawford and Steve Lovell giving the hosts a comfortable lead in the first half. Lovell got another in the 54th minute, and the fourth and last goal came from Richard Foster in the 65th-

Relegation group

Livingston - Inverness 0-1

Inverness visited Livingston and returned home with three points as result of a 0-1 victory. The only goal of the match was scored by Barry Wilson in the 55th minute.

Motherwell - Dunfermline 2-3

Motherwell suffered a 2-3 defeat by Dunfermline, despite an opening goal from James Paterson in the 7th minute. Iain Campbell equalized for the guests in the 20th minute, and Mark Burchill (penalty) then put Dunfermline in the lead in the 29th.

Gary Mason set the score to 1-3 in the 49th minute, and Stephen Craigan's 65th-minute goal for Motherwell was insufficient.

Dundee United - Falkirk 4-0

Thirteen minutes had been played in Dundee when Alan Gow opened the score for Falkirk, and Daniel McBreen would get another in the 38th minute to give his side a 0-2 victory.
